Saturday Morning Bike Rides

Meeting for a 9.00 a.m. departure at Rayne Station Cafe, Station Road, (at the front on New road), Rayne, CM77 6AB, we have our free of charge led bike groups which, like all our sessions, are ideal for all abilities. We generally have two groups:

  • G1 which does 25-35 miles at the speed of the slowest on a road bike and with the occasional coffee stop. This is a more socially orientated ride but which still puts in some quality miles throughout all seasons where no one gets dropped or left behind. Ideal for those new to riding in a group or who just want a lighter training session.
  • G2: 35-45 miles at 14-16 mph. This is a more training focused ride and is suitable for those who are used to riding in a group and are happy with the pace and the distance.

We sometimes have a third group which is aimed more at those going long and these will be announced on social media when they are happening. We always aim to run at least a G1 ride each week depending on the weather. If no ride is showing for this week then it has been cancelled either because of safety reasons or because one of our trained ride leaders is not available.

All rides have a planned routed which is often published in advance and non-members are welcome to ride with us up to three times before they are asked to join Born2Tri. This is because the rides take some planning and organising and are primarily for the benefit of members.

No need to book, just turn up with a road bike, helmet, drink, spare tube & tyre levers and dress for the weather (mudguards recommended for winter and autumn).
